Understanding Activity Product

Activity-product (AP) work loci can draw on any of the 36 activities in the customer’s Activity Cycle, since an AP can fulfill any of them, and every work locus example given elsewhere in the text is in fact an AP locus. APs are distinguished from Resource Products, which instead become a subject resource for the receiving system, on the basis of ownership and availability: an AP-producing system does not own the object it acts on, and, for the paired storage activities, an AP system withholds the object from the customer’s immediate use rather than making it available.
