Understanding Customer of Customer

Customer of Customer is precisely the economic agent using the Customer’s product as part of its own operations — one further link in the chain beyond the direct Customer relationship, mirroring the structure by which the Enterprise Barcode’s Customer of Customer Field replicates the two product tiers found in the Customer Field. It is coded using the same loci, markers, and rules as the Customer Section, but contextualized specifically to the product line of the customer’s that actually uses the enterprise’s product, even if that is an auxiliary line rather than the customer’s primary line — for example, an ATM manufacturer’s Customer Locus reflects the bank’s primary loan business, while the Customer of Customer reflects depositors, since the ATM serves the deposit-taking line. When co-customers are present, the Customer of Customer is based on whichever of the two mutual users touches the product last, to avoid coding the same agent twice.
