Understanding Product Tier

A product tier consists of exactly three fields in sequence — a Constituent Resource Locus, a Final Resource Locus, and a Work Group Locus — and the Enterprise Barcode contains four such tiers, two in the Customer Section and two in the Customer of Customer Section, so the CRL-FRL-WGL pattern repeats twice within each section. Which loci actually get filled depends on the enterprise’s product type: a constituent-resource enterprise fills both CRL and FRL before the Work Group Locus, a final-resource enterprise fills only the FRL, and an activity-product enterprise leaves both resource loci blank and is classified directly in the Work Group Locus, since activity products are not resources.
