Understanding Final Resource Locus (FRL)

The Final Resource Locus (FRL) is one of the three fields making up a Product Tier, alongside the Constituent Resource Locus and the Work Group Locus. Moving from the FRL to the Work Group Locus is governed by a specific question — “what is the customer doing while using the final resource” — which is deliberately not the same as “what is the final resource for.” The worked gasoline example shows the distinction: the FRL describes gasoline as powering the car, but the Work Group Locus describes the customer as driving/transporting, since every work group requires an E resource as a morphological component regardless of what larger activity that work group serves.
